Kahina Cargile is a Program Manager providing leadership to the “I Have A Dream” Foundation Milwaukee( IHDF-MKE) affiliate, represents IHDF-MKE in the community, and works directly with Dreamers to support them in their journey to success. Kahina provides academic support, career development, cultivating Dreamer’s leadership, and empowering and advocating for Dreamers and their families.
Kahina believes that all young people can reach the expectations you set for them as long as you provide the tools, which includes love, support, and access, for them to reach new heights. Education and success of all people should not come at the cost of someone else. The “Dream” is the thriving of all people, all the time,everywhere.
Kahina is from Chicago, IL and has worked at each level of education from elementary school as an assistant in recruitment, alternative high school as an Educational Data and Attendance Administrator, 2-Year College overseeing a mentor program for women of color in STEM, and a College and Career Development specialist at a 4-year institution where she developed and piloted a program for students with undecided majors.
Kahina is trained in Trauma-informed care and Mental Health First Aid. She is also a certified Career Service Provider by the National Career Development Association. Kahina also sits on the Young Leaders Board for Meta House and the Development Committee for Unity in Motion
Kahina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Marquette University and Masters of Management in Higher Education Administration Robert Morris University Chicago.
