Sharon Robinson

Sharon Robinson has accrued over 20 years of executive level experience in the government and non-profit areas. Ms. Robinson’s professional experience includes 20 years of service on Capitol Hill in the U. S. House of Representatives where she served as former U.S. Congressman, Tom Barrett’s Legislative Director and Chief of Staff (who is now Mayor of Milwaukee).

Prior to moving to Milwaukee, Ms. Robinson was the Director of the William Davidson Institute, headquartered at the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business in Washington, D.C. The Davidson Institute is an independent, non-profit organization devoted to promoting economic growth in emerging markets.

Since 2007, she has served as Director of the Department of Administration for the City of Milwaukee. In her capacity as the City’s Administration Director, Ms. Robinson has shaped many quality-of- life initiatives. Her proudest accomplishments include spearheading I Have A Dream Milwaukee and Fund My Future Milwaukee, programs designed to ensure that our most vulnerable children can plan for a future that includes post-secondary education.
